More Quick Watercolor Quilts

Are you ready for More Quick Watercolor Quilts? These quilts are as easy as everyone has been telling you. Jump in with my new book. Start with some of the smaller projects such as the placemats, or make a wallhanging from one of the twelve blocks from the Garden Sampler quilt.
My favorite project, especially for beginners, is the Blooming Hedges quilt. This watercolor Trip Around the World style of quilt takes a few fabrics and makes a gorgeous quilt from four identical panels. My students enjoyed quick results and seeing how different colors dominate as the blocks are rearranged. When using fusible interfacing you preview the blend of fabrics before you are committed to the quilt. You can make adjustments: swap rows, add another fabric, or more rows of one and less of another. The good news is once you've ironed down your design you can come back to it easily. The next time your schedule allows you just pick up where you left off. New fabric selection tips and photos guide you in choosing just a few fabrics to combine for a fresh look to traditional quilts.
Buy the book just to learn how to piece equilateral triangles using fusible interfacing. Imagine all those 60-degree triangle patterns you can do now with up to 85% fewer seams. With interfacing bias edges are stabilized and matching points is improved. Bring on the triangle designs!
