This book focuses on Stangl Artware produced from 1924 to 1978. Pottery and porcelain birds and animals, Terra Rose, hand-painted and brushed gold lamps, stoneware, smoker's items and sportsmen's giftware, dealer signs, paper products, advertising, and premiums are all covered in this encyclopedia. Lists every known shape, glaze, and treatment used in producing Stangl's vast lines of artware, giftware, lamps, and birds inspired by Audubon. There are also sections on trademarks, and backstamps, solid color glazes, underglaze colors and history of Stangl. AUTHORBIO: Known to champion the cause of historic preservation, Rob Runge is fondly referred to as "Mr. Stangl." His collection of Fulper and Stangl pottery and dinnerware is quite extensive. He was born, raised, and educated in the Hunterdon County/Trenton, New Jersey area. He has been intensely involved with many civic activities aimed at advancing the interests of collectors today.
