About the Author
Not many people know this, but Carla actually went to college with Crissy in the late 1970s. Carla remembers Crissy as "a bit on the quiet side, but well liked and with an endless variety of hairstyles." This is Carla's second book on the subject of modern dolls, following her first book Modern Doll Rarities. In addition, she has authored over 100 magazine articles on dolls and other baby-boomer era toys. Married to attorney Richard Cross, she is the proud mother of six children: Tiffin, Bria, Lacelynn, Jonnica, Dustin, and Jamison.
