This was the first full-color House of Collectibles book, and pulling it together was a lot of work but also a great deal of fun. Harry Rinker and I made a trip to Replacements, Ltd., in North Carolina, to do research for this book and the two others in the series, and that was an event in itself. I've never seen so many pieces of china in one place at one time! I have to admit, my china pattern is not in the top 500 -- obviously, it's a very well-kept secret an elite few of us are sharing!
