Daughter of Author, Red Hamer, professional photographer famous for landscape photography of the Chesapeake Bay and Chester County, Pennsylvania. Ms. Hamer has participated in many fundraising activities associated with handicapped people who depend on their canine friends for support such as Canine Partners for Life and Independence Dogs in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Ms. Hamer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music and is currently pursuing a master's degree in music therapy. Ms. Hamer has had many credits in other dog books. She has also been given credits on Animal Planet for creating a squirrel video, Squirrelly Adventures and composed the squirrelly music.
Ms. Hamer will next be producing a CD of her original piano music in the next few years and will most likely market these works with wildlife organizations.
