Editorial Reviews
From Independent Publisher
A Wyoming veterinarian, Wolf began noticing a correlation between birthdates of his clients and their personalities. Through his research and experience, he became convinced that the cosmos actively affects animals, as it does humans. Hoping to strengthen the animal-human bond while assisting pet owners in understanding (or selecting) their pets, he developed this newage guide to the health characteristics and emotional dispositions of cats and dogs (primarily) at various ages/stages. He includes a checklist so that readers who do not know the birth date of their pet may determine a likely time frame, and he offers advice on the compatibility of the pet with people and other animals. Wolf also recommends the best and worst combinations of pets and discusses how to most easily introduce a new pet into the household. Organized much like a good, standard astrology guide, What Sign is Your Pet? is fun-lightly and cleverly written. While not an essential purchase for most libraries, it should be considered. Recent newspaper reviews are likely to generate requests. Bookstores who cater to large audiences of astrology buffs and pet owners/lovers will want to stock.
