About the Author
After graduating from Diplomatic School, May Wale Brown's first job was in the Diplomatic Service of the United States in Vienna, Austria, where she was born. During World War II she worked under John Houseman at the Office of War Information. After the war she worked for MGM Studios as Political Censor for movies to be released in Europe. For thirty-four years she was the script supervisor of such distinguished directors as Alfred Hitchcock, Billy Wilder, and Michael Curtiz. After retiring, she wrote a book about her life among the stars and movie crews in the film industry call "Reel Life on Hollywood Movie Sets."
