About the Author
Leslie Evans was inspired to create the Labrador Alphabet for a class assignment when her beloved pet, Morgan, was lying in an F position near her drafting table. The dog then obligingly moved to form a J, and things proceeded from there. Evans founded her letterpress shop, Sea Dog Press, in 1980, and prints her linocuts, wood engravings, books, posters, and ephemera on an old Vandercook proof press. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Printmaking, she lives in Watertown, MA.
