Veterinary Clinics are giving this book as a gift of solace to people whose ill or injured pets must be euthanized. The book's tender and caring story of animals and their special closeness to a family touches the heart and offers comfort. It includes the well-known story of Rainbow Bridge. Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies who has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water, and sunshine. . . .
All the animals who have been ill or old are restored to health and vigor, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole again. They are happy and content, except each one misses someone very special.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, never to be parted again. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together… Author Unknown
